The Eve # 19
Here stands the Eve of Temptation, looking at the male gender with a curve of irony in her silhouette. "The Eve # 19" suggests a humorous theological theory: perhaps the beauty of a woman is actually a sweet revenge.
Some philosophers (and many husbands) suspect that the fairer half of humanity is still punishing men for that specific moment in Eden. After all, Adam could have been the voice of reason! He could have said, "No, thank you, darling, I’m on a diet," or "Let’s ask the Boss first." But he didn't. He took the bite. And so, for his lack of willpower, Eve has decided to test his resolve every day since.
In the spirit of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, who knew that "The Eternal Feminine draws us upward," this sculpture suggests she also leads men around by the nose—just to see if they’ve learned anything since the Apple Incident. (Spoiler: They haven’t). She is sinuous, captivating, and delightfully dangerous.
